William Sealey Gosset

William Sealey Gosset 1876-1937 is best known as the person who introduced Student's t-distribution, so called because in 1908 he published under the pseudonym "Student."

  • Probable error of a correlation coefficient (1908)
  • The distribution of the means of samples which are not drawn at random (1909)
  • An experimental determination of the probable error of Dr Spearman's correlation coefficients (1909)
